People open the studio and freeze, because they think they need to describe a design. They don't. They need to describe a person. The design is our job.
Start with who, then why
"A mug for my dad" gives us a mug. "A mug for my dad who fishes every Saturday with our dog Max and refuses to upgrade his thermos" gives us a scene, a character, a colour palette and a joke. The second prompt is not longer because it is fancier. It is longer because it contains the person.
Add one concrete detail
- A place: the street you met on, the lake, the apartment number.
- A date, written the way they'd write it.
- A phrase they actually say.
- A photo, if you have one. Even a bad one tells us what they look like.
Pick a style only if you care
The Style pill (Minimal, Illustrated, Photographic, Vintage, Playful) narrows the three designs. If you leave it, we spread the three across styles so you can see the range. Most people pick a style on the second round, after they have seen the first three.
Let the redesign do the work
Redesigns are free and unlimited before you order. The fastest way to a great result is a rough first prompt, a look at three options, and then one specific correction: "keep B, make the dog bigger, lose the text." That beats a perfect prompt every time.
