Codes, credit and referrals.

One page for every way a price can go down, how they combine, and the handful of things that cannot be stacked.

The order things apply in

Four balances can touch one order, and they are applied in a fixed sequence so the result is never a surprise:

  1. A promo code reduces the subtotal.
  2. Any Vessim Plus discount applies to what is left.
  3. Store credit is spent next.
  4. Gift card balance covers the rest; whatever remains goes to the card.

Taxes are calculated on the reduced subtotal, not the original. Shipping, where charged, is covered by credit and gift cards like anything else.

Promo codes

  • One code per order. Two codes do not combine, and the checkout keeps whichever is worth more rather than silently taking the first.
  • A code applies to products, not to shipping or tax, unless it says it does.
  • Codes are personal unless published publicly, and a code sent to you cannot be transferred.
  • A code has an expiry and the checkout tells you the date before you commit.
  • A code cannot be applied retroactively to a placed order. Ask before paying, not after.

If a code fails, the checkout says why — expired, already used, wrong account, or not valid on what is in the bag. It will not fail silently.

Referrals

Share your link; when someone new orders for the first time, they get $10 off and you get $10 in store credit once their order ships. Once per referred person, and credit arrives after the return window rather than at checkout — a referral on an order that is immediately refunded is not a referral.

You cannot refer yourself, a second account of your own, or an address you already order to. We check for this and when we find it the credit is removed without notice. Nobody is banned for trying it once.

Store credit

Store credit comes from referrals, from a goodwill adjustment, or from a refund you chose to take as credit. It never expires and it carries no fee. It is not cash and cannot be withdrawn, transferred between accounts, or refunded on account deletion — which is the one reason to spend it before you close an account. See data requests.

Vessim Plus

A subscription, billed monthly or yearly, that lowers prices rather than gating features. Cancel from the account page at any time and it runs to the end of the period already paid for; we do not pro-rate a partial month and we do not ask you to email anyone to leave. A yearly plan cancelled in the first fourteen days is refunded in full.

Changing or ending a promotion

We can end a promotion at any time, but not retroactively: a code you have already applied to an order is honoured, and an order placed before a change is priced at the terms that were showing when you placed it. Pricing errors are the exception — where a price is obviously wrong, we will cancel and refund rather than fulfil, and we will tell you what happened.

Abuse

Creating accounts to mint codes, reselling personal codes, or ordering and refunding in a loop to harvest credit will get the order cancelled and the balance voided. Persistent abuse ends the account. This is the least interesting paragraph on this page and it exists because the programmes above are generous enough to be worth gaming.
