Ask for it. Or ask us to forget.
Four requests you can make at any time, what each one returns, and how long it takes. No account is required to make one.
The four requests
These apply wherever you live. We do not run a two-tier policy where European customers get rights and everyone else gets a contact form.
- Access. A copy of everything tied to your account: profile, addresses, prompts, designs, orders, store credit and the email we have sent you.
- Portability. The same data as JSON, plus your design files at full resolution, in one archive.
- Correction. Anything wrong, fixed — most of it you can edit yourself in settings, which is faster than asking us.
- Deletion. The account and its contents removed, and the instruction passed on to every sub-processor holding a copy.
Making one
Email privacy@makevessim.com from the address on the account and say which of the four you want. That is the whole process. If you cannot use that address any more, write from any address with an order number and we will verify another way — we will not simply refuse because the mailbox changed.
What deletion actually removes
Everything tied to you: account, prompts, designs, saved people and dates, addresses, wishlists and store credit. Designs are deleted from storage, not just unlinked from the account.
Two things survive, and you should know which. Completed order records are kept for the period tax law requires — seven years in Canada — reduced to the order number, date, amount and tax, with the design and the recipient’s details stripped. And anything already in the public gallery under a pseudonym stays unless you ask for that too, since it carries no identifier back to you.
Deletion cannot be undone, and store credit is not refundable on deletion. Spend it first.
Data about someone else
Addresses you saved for other people are personal data about them, held by us because you gave it to us. They can ask us to delete their address without going through you: have them write to the same mailbox and name you as the sender. We will remove it and tell you that it was removed, but not who asked.
If we say no
A refusal comes with the reason and the legal basis in writing. You can reply and a different person will look at it. You can also complain to your own regulator — the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in Canada, a state attorney general in the United States, or a supervisory authority in the EEA — and you do not have to exhaust our process first.
If you can imagine it, we can create it.
