What it is for
Car mats, seat covers, sun shades and plates are for the person who loves their car.
Universal-fit items are approximate; check dimensions against the vehicle.
Dye sublimation
Sublimation prints the design onto transfer paper with dye ink; heat then turns the dye into a gas that bonds into a polyester coating or polyester fibre.
Colour becomes part of the surface rather than a layer on top, so it is vivid and does not crack or peel. It cannot print white: white in a design shows as the colour of the item itself, which is why sublimated items are white or pale.
There is no texture at all — on fabric you cannot feel the print, and on a mug it is under a smooth coating.
Designs that suit it
Patterns, a name or a simple emblem. Seat covers and mats are seen up close; plates and shades from outside.
The print area is on the front: 4,252 × 4,252 pixels, about 14.2 × 14.2 in at 300 dpi — a roughly square area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Full-colour photographs, paintings and edge-to-edge patterns. Less suited: designs that rely on white ink, and important detail right at seams, handles or edges where the transfer wraps.
Sentences that would suit it

“A workshop sign for Grandad, est. the year he built the shed”

“A deep red rose on cream paper for our anniversary”
Rosa gallica purpurea velutina parva, from Les Roses, Pierre-Joseph Redouté, 1817–24. Public domain. Shown on our example matte vertical posters.
Examples by Vessim: public-domain art and our own lettering, not studio output. The studio designs yours from your sentence.
Where it is printed, and when it arrives
It is printed to order in Putian City, Fujian Province, China, then shipped: 5–10 business days to Canada ($14.78 CAD for the first item) and 5–15 business days to the US ($5.06 CAD). Each window counts from the day the order is placed and includes printing.
Because it is printed outside North America, import duties or taxes may apply on arrival.
To arrive by Christmas 2026 with standard shipping, order by December 11 for Canada and December 4 for the US — that is the Car Sun Shades's own longest window counted back from December 25.
How it compares with our other car accessories
- Of the 12 car accessories in the catalogue, 7 cost less and 4 cost more.
- Its longest delivery time to Canada, 10 business days, is shorter than the family's median of 15; no other car accessories arrive sooner.
- 7 of the 12 are printed in North America; this one is printed in China.

Before you order
How long does the Car Sun Shades take to arrive?
To Canada, 5–10 business days, with first-item shipping at $14.78 CAD; to the US, 5–15 business days ($5.06 CAD). It is printed to order in Putian City, Fujian Province, China, and the window counts from the day you order, printing included.
Can I put a photo on the Car Sun Shades?
Yes. Sublimation reproduces photographs in full colour with no texture. White areas print as the item's own colour, so a photo with a white background blends into it. The print file is 4252 × 4252 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
What sizes does the Car Sun Shades come in?
2 sizes: 28'' × 28'' (2pcs), 30'' × 55'' (1pc).
When should I order the Car Sun Shades for Christmas?
With standard shipping, by December 11 to Canada and December 4 to the US. Those dates count this product's longest delivery window back from December 25 in business days. Express shipping at checkout, where it is offered, shortens the window.
How do I look after the Car Sun Shades?
It is sublimation-printed, and that sets the care. Wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low. No bleach; the colour is in the fibre, so it will not crack.
