What it is for
Stickers and magnets are cheap, collectable and stuck to laptops, fridges and cars for years.
Die-cut and kiss-cut shapes follow the outline of the design; a clean edge looks best.
Dye sublimation
Sublimation prints the design onto transfer paper with dye ink; heat then turns the dye into a gas that bonds into a polyester coating or polyester fibre.
Colour becomes part of the surface rather than a layer on top, so it is vivid and does not crack or peel. It cannot print white: white in a design shows as the colour of the item itself, which is why sublimated items are white or pale.
There is no texture at all — on fabric you cannot feel the print, and on a mug it is under a smooth coating.
Designs that suit it
Strong silhouettes with a clear outline. Small text disappears at sticker size.
The print area is on the front: 1,650 × 1,650 pixels, about 5.5 × 5.5 in at 300 dpi — a roughly square area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Full-colour photographs, paintings and edge-to-edge patterns. Less suited: designs that rely on white ink, and important detail right at seams, handles or edges where the transfer wraps.
Sentences that would suit it
“A workshop sign for Grandad, est. the year he built the shed”

“Mount Fuji across the bay with little sailboats, for my sailing uncle”
Pine Groves of Miho in Suruga, Utagawa Hiroshige, 1858. Public domain. Shown on our example matte vertical posters.
“A windy summer meadow for our anniversary picnic”
Woman with a Parasol, Claude Monet, 1875. Public domain. Shown on our example matte vertical posters.
Examples by Vessim: public-domain art and our own lettering, not studio output. The studio designs yours from your sentence.
Where it is printed, and when it arrives
It is printed to order in Miami, FL, United States, then shipped: 5–15 business days to Canada ($16.56 CAD for the first item) and 2–5 business days to the US ($6.56 CAD). Each window counts from the day the order is placed and includes printing.
Printed in North America, so it ships without an overseas leg and no import duties apply within North America.
To arrive by Christmas 2026 with standard shipping, order by December 4 for Canada and December 18 for the US — that is the Car Magnets's own longest window counted back from December 25.
How it compares with our other stickers and magnets
- Of the 38 stickers and magnets in the catalogue, none costs less than this one and 22 cost more.
- Its longest delivery time to Canada, 15 business days, is the same as the family's median of 15; 3 other stickers and magnets arrive sooner.
- 37 of the 38 are printed in North America, this one included.

Before you order
How long does the Car Magnets take to arrive?
To Canada, 5–15 business days, with first-item shipping at $16.56 CAD; to the US, 2–5 business days ($6.56 CAD). It is printed to order in Miami, FL, United States, and the window counts from the day you order, printing included.
Can I put a photo on the Car Magnets?
Yes. Sublimation reproduces photographs in full colour with no texture. White areas print as the item's own colour, so a photo with a white background blends into it. The print file is 1650 × 1650 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
What sizes does the Car Magnets come in?
3 sizes: 5'' × 5'', 7.5'' × 4.5'', 10'' × 3''.
When should I order the Car Magnets for Christmas?
With standard shipping, by December 4 to Canada and December 18 to the US. Those dates count this product's longest delivery window back from December 25 in business days. Express shipping at checkout, where it is offered, shortens the window.
How do I look after the Car Magnets?
It is sublimation-printed, and that sets the care. Keep out of long periods of direct sun to slow fading. Wipe with a dry cloth only.
