What it is for
A keychain or tag is tiny, cheap to send, and carried every day.
Most tags are printed on one side; engraved ones carry a single tone.
Dye sublimation
Sublimation prints the design onto transfer paper with dye ink; heat then turns the dye into a gas that bonds into a polyester coating or polyester fibre.
Colour becomes part of the surface rather than a layer on top, so it is vivid and does not crack or peel. It cannot print white: white in a design shows as the colour of the item itself, which is why sublimated items are white or pale.
There is no texture at all — on fabric you cannot feel the print, and on a mug it is under a smooth coating.
Designs that suit it
A name, initials or a single bold shape. At this size, one element is plenty.
The print area is on the front: 58 × 458 pixels, about 0.2 × 1.5 in at 300 dpi — a tall, portrait area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Full-colour photographs, paintings and edge-to-edge patterns. Less suited: designs that rely on white ink, and important detail right at seams, handles or edges where the transfer wraps.
Sentences that would suit it
“A windy summer meadow for our anniversary picnic”
Woman with a Parasol, Claude Monet, 1875. Public domain. Shown on our example tough phone cases.
“Decorative Art Nouveau flowers for my sister who loves Mucha”
Plate 38, from Documents Décoratifs, Alphonse Mucha, 1902. Public domain. Shown on our example tough phone cases.
“The river at night where we got engaged, stars over the water”
Starry Night Over the Rhône, Vincent van Gogh, 1888. Public domain. Shown on our example tough phone cases.

Where it is printed, and when it arrives
It is printed to order in Miami, FL, United States, then shipped: 5–15 business days to Canada ($14.23 CAD for the first item) and 2–5 business days to the US ($8.07 CAD). Each window counts from the day the order is placed and includes printing.
Printed in North America, so it ships without an overseas leg and no import duties apply within North America.
To arrive by Christmas 2026 with standard shipping, order by December 4 for Canada and December 18 for the US — that is the Rectangle Bar Keychain's own longest window counted back from December 25.
How it compares with our other keychains and tags
- Of the 14 keychains and tags in the catalogue, 7 cost less and 5 cost more.
- Its 2 colours are the widest choice of any keychain or tag we carry.
- Its longest delivery time to Canada, 15 business days, is the same as the family's median of 15; no other keychains and tags arrive sooner.
- 9 of the 14 are printed in North America, this one included.
Looking after it

- Check the product spec below before putting it in a dishwasher.
Before you order
How long does the Rectangle Bar Keychain take to arrive?
To Canada, 5–15 business days, with first-item shipping at $14.23 CAD; to the US, 2–5 business days ($8.07 CAD). It is printed to order in Miami, FL, United States, and the window counts from the day you order, printing included.
Can I put a photo on the Rectangle Bar Keychain?
Yes. Sublimation reproduces photographs in full colour with no texture. White areas print as the item's own colour, so a photo with a white background blends into it. The print file is 58 × 458 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
What colours does the Rectangle Bar Keychain come in?
2 colours: Gold Plated, Stainless Steel.
When should I order the Rectangle Bar Keychain for Christmas?
With standard shipping, by December 4 to Canada and December 18 to the US. Those dates count this product's longest delivery window back from December 25 in business days. Express shipping at checkout, where it is offered, shortens the window.
How do I look after the Rectangle Bar Keychain?
It is sublimation-printed, and that sets the care. Hand wash; no abrasive sponges on the printed area. Check the product spec below before putting it in a dishwasher.
