What it is for
Laptop sleeves, phone stands and similar accessories are useful objects with a small surface for a design.
Check the device size in the options before ordering.
Dye sublimation
Sublimation prints the design onto transfer paper with dye ink; heat then turns the dye into a gas that bonds into a polyester coating or polyester fibre.
Colour becomes part of the surface rather than a layer on top, so it is vivid and does not crack or peel. It cannot print white: white in a design shows as the colour of the item itself, which is why sublimated items are white or pale.
There is no texture at all — on fabric you cannot feel the print, and on a mug it is under a smooth coating.
Designs that suit it
Patterns, initials and simple images.
The print area is on the front: 4,500 × 3,450 pixels, about 15.0 × 11.5 in at 300 dpi — a wide, landscape area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Full-colour photographs, paintings and edge-to-edge patterns. Less suited: designs that rely on white ink, and important detail right at seams, handles or edges where the transfer wraps.
Sentences that would suit it

“A full moon over the bay from our holiday room”
The Moon-Viewing Promontory, Utagawa Hiroshige, 1857. Public domain. Shown on our example tough phone cases.

“A red and blue repeating pattern for a tote”
Snakeshead, William Morris, designed 1876. Public domain. Shown on our example tough phone cases.

“Sea anemones like a vintage science plate, for the marine biologist”
Actiniae (Sea Anemones), from Art Forms in Nature, Ernst Haeckel, 1904. Public domain. Shown on our example tough phone cases.
Examples by Vessim: public-domain art and our own lettering, not studio output. The studio designs yours from your sentence.
Where it is printed, and when it arrives
It is printed to order in Miami, FL, United States, then shipped: 5–15 business days to Canada ($15.60 CAD for the first item) and 2–5 business days to the US ($8.62 CAD). Each window counts from the day the order is placed and includes printing.
Printed in North America, so it ships without an overseas leg and no import duties apply within North America.

Before you order
How long does the Protective Laptop Sleeve take to arrive?
To Canada, 5–15 business days, with first-item shipping at $15.60 CAD; to the US, 2–5 business days ($8.62 CAD). It is printed to order in Miami, FL, United States, and the window counts from the day you order, printing included.
Can I put a photo on the Protective Laptop Sleeve?
Yes. Sublimation reproduces photographs in full colour with no texture. White areas print as the item's own colour, so a photo with a white background blends into it. The print file is 4500 × 3450 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
What sizes does the Protective Laptop Sleeve come in?
2 sizes: 13", 15".
When should I order the Protective Laptop Sleeve for Christmas?
With standard shipping, by December 4 to Canada and December 18 to the US. Those dates count this product's longest delivery window back from December 25 in business days. Express shipping at checkout, where it is offered, shortens the window.
How do I look after the Protective Laptop Sleeve?
It is sublimation-printed, and that sets the care. Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. No abrasive cleaners or solvents on the printed face.
