Colours are thread colours — a limited set, typically up to around a dozen in one design — so gradients and photographs cannot be reproduced.
The design is raised and textured, and it outlasts any ink: it will not crack, peel or fade in the wash.
Designs that suit it
A single image centred on the chest, a short line of type, or a photo treated as a print all read well from across a room. Keep anything important out of the armpit seams and the bottom few centimetres, which fold out of sight when it is tucked or worn.
The print area is on the right sleeve: 600 × 900 pixels, about 2.0 × 3.0 in at 300 dpi — a tall, portrait area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Monograms, initials, short words, simple logos and bold shapes. Less suited: photographs, gradients and lettering smaller than about 5 mm tall, which closes up in thread.
